Shiva Nata: the Dance of Shiva

Shiva Nata is brain training that kind of looks like martial arts, and acts like drugs-that-make-you-smart-and-hot.
It uses movement patterns to generate new neural connections and huge understandings that let you rewrite your patterns.
Sometimes we hate it for being so damn hard – but we get over that because Shiva Nata makes us graceful, coordinated and awesome. And because of the hot, buttered epiphanies.

What, Non-Sucky Yoga Month again?!

Non-Sucky Yoga Month Just a quickie, for those of you who don’t hang out on my Fluent Self blog.

Today is the first day of Non-Sucky Yoga Month — something I totally made up because I’m spontaneous and dorky that way.

So I hope you enjoy my amusing post on how Non-Sucky Yoga Month came into being (yes, I entertain myself to no end) and take a peek at the non-sucky yoga package too.

By the way, if you’re thinking something like “Oh boy, Havi is a nut!” or “Wow, she’s so creative when it comes to marketing stuff!” or “For a yoga person she’s surprisingly okay with promoting good things to the world, no?” … it might be good for you to know this:

None of those things are natural, intrinsic “this is just how I am” things. These are all things that the Dance of Shiva practice has helped me develop. Or that have just kind of “shown up” for me over the course of the past few years of practicing.

Thinking really creatively, releasing a lot of stuck beliefs about success being icky and unclean, feeling comfortable sharing who I am with the world … yeah, I pretty much give Shiva Nata credit for about 90% of that stuff.

Would love to hear at some point from some of you if you’ve been noticing some of that as well with your own practice!

That’s it. Happy Non-Sucky Yoga Month! Back to Shivanaut stuff tomorrow!
